Bill Hicks
Chief Relationship Officer & Senior VP of Customer Relations
Ultimate Software

Bill Hicks is Chief Relationship Officer and Senior Vice President of Customer Relationships for Ultimate Software, a leading cloud provider of people management solutions. Bill is responsible for managing Ultimate’s ongoing relationships with its more than 2,800 customers including Bloomin’ Brands, Culligan International, Major League Baseball, Pep Boys, and Texas Roadhouse. Ultimate has one of the highest customer retention rates in the industry, exceeding 96 percent annually, largely due to the efforts and success of the Customer Relationship team.

Previously, Bill served as Ultimate Software’s Chief Information Officer, overseeing the company’s award-winning IT team. During his tenure as CIO at Ultimate, he was honored as the South Florida CIO Council’s Member of the Year as well as South Florida Business Journal’s 2013 CIO of the Year. Bill was instrumental in the launch and execution of Ultimate’s industry-leading cloud solutions, and he has also overseen the management of Ultimate’s teams for customer services, knowledge services, payment services, and business operations.

Bill’s recent speaking appearances include Dreamforce, IHRIM HRM Strategies, HR Technology Conference and Expo, as well as the American Payroll Association Congress every year since 2009. Bill also leads and serves on numerous community and industry-based boards. Prior to joining Ultimate Software, he was CIO at Precision Response Corporation. Bill is a graduate of Florida State University, College of Business, with a double major in Management Information Systems and Computer Science.
