Natalie Norfus
Chief Diversity Officer and Associate General Counsel, HR & Compliance
Burger King

Natalie E. Norfus is Burger King Corporation’s Chief Diversity Officer and Associate General Counsel, HR & Compliance. Natalie is responsible for setting BKC's strategic vision for its diversity and inclusion programming as it relates to employee engagement, recruiting, community involvement, franchisee relations and supplier diversity. Natalie is also responsible for providing legal counsel and training on human resources, and corporate compliance. She also manages and monitors employment disputes, claims, charges, litigation and governmental audits, among other duties.

Prior to joining Burger King Corporation, Natalie had nearly a decade of experience representing private and public sector employers in a wide range of employment matters including: investigating claims of harassment, discrimination and retaliation and defending employment discrimination, wage and hour, and whistleblower claims brought before administrative agencies and in federal and state courts.

Natalie also counseled employers on various issues including: diversity, affinity groups, reductions in force, employee accommodations, employee handbooks and policies, discipline and termination as they relate to Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Family and Medical Leave Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act and other federal, state and local laws.

Natalie received her bachelor’s degree from American University and her law degree from The George Washington University Law School, both in Washington, D.C.
