Guillermo Alban
Vice President of Human Resources, Latin America
Starcom MediaVest Group

Guillermo Alban joined Starcom Mediavest Group as the Regional Director of Human Resources and Talent Transformation for Latin America in 2011. Guillermo has over 25 years of successful and practical experience working in world-leading, fast-paced, and results oriented organizations known for HR innovation and commitment to best-in-class practices in HR functions. He has experience in various industries including pharmaceuticals, telecommunications, and aviation industries.

Guillermo is a hands-on, passionate, forward thinking and strategic human resources practitioner who has helped organizations grow their talent and business capabilities. He brings to the SMG management table a high degree of personal maturity and professional well-roundedness in addition to the functional knowledge inherent to Human Resources. Guillermo has played a critical role leading organizations to embrace change and building strong relationships with key players across the organization that have propelled talent transformation.

Guillermo earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Saint Thomas University, and earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Management at the University of Miami. He also holds a certification in Collective Bargaining from Cornell University and is a certified notary public in the State of Florida. Guillermo as an active community member, serves as the President of the Advisory Council for Archbishop Coleman Carroll High School.

Guillermo is a native of Ecuador and is fluent in English and Spanish. He enjoys sports, history, travel, good dining and spending long weekends at the beach. He is married with two children and he is based in Miami, Florida.
