Shannon Kelly

Shannon Kelly provides legal counsel, management training and litigation defense to employers in employment and HR matters.

Shannon Kelly provides legal guidance, management training and litigation defense to employers in all areas of the employee-employer relationship as well as in traditional labor matters.

Shannon's practice focuses on representing employers in harassment, discrimination, retaliation, FMLA, negligent hiring and supervision, and whistle-blower disputes as well as wrongful termination and contract arbitrations pursuant to collective bargaining agreements.

Shannon represents clients in a broad spectrum of industries including healthcare, manufacturing, airline, talent acquisition, public sector, transportation, service, retail and corrections.

Shannon has litigated matters through trial as well as successfully represented employers in arbitration and administrative hearings involving wrongful discharge and discipline claims and contract interpretation under Collective Bargaining Agreements. Prior to joining FordHarrison, Shannon was an associate in the Tampa office of a large Florida insurance defense law firm.

Shannon's diverse litigation experience includes medical malpractice, wrongful death, catastrophic injury, premises liability, product liability and intellectual property. Shannon is on the Board of the Gramatica Family Foundation which works tirelessly to fund and build homes for wounded military veterans in the Tampa Bay area. Shannon is also a co-chair of the annual Tampa Bay Young Women's Leadership Symposium which is hosted by the Florida Diversity Council with the aim of developing and encouraging future women leaders in the Tampa Bay area
